Trust

Trust define as;
1) Have confidence or faith in
2) Allow without fear
3) Be confident about something

There is always two situations, you trust on someone or someone trust on you.

And usually, both will ended up with a feeling of betrayal.

Right?

In my case, I dislike when someone lose their trust on me.

Okay, this dramatic scene happened in one peaceful night. Two buddies were sitting together on their office while eating snacks and doing assignments. Well, that's me and my roomie. xD

I used to wrote a lot of fanfics and she's like my super duper loyal reader.

"Hey, can I upload your Twinkle Love" she asked me out of sudden. Twinkle love is one of the fanfics that she got from me.

I'm speechless. Please don't upload that one..

"I'm going to put it on my blog.." she casually said and ready to click the button. I'm become more speechless.

"Twinkle love.. by amisa ahmad.."

Err... don't...

 "err, I don't think you should upload that story.." I stopped her with my words. She looking at me weirdly.

"Why? Its a fun story and my friends really love it!"

"Err.. how I'm supposed to say?"

"What?"

"That story..."

"Yes, the story you wrote..?"

"..That story is not mine."

I can see her facial expression changed slowly. Shocked.

"What do you mean?!"

"I translated it and changed here and there,..still not mine."


And the next one hour was me who paranoid and trying so hard to explain to her why am I translate that story and the fact that I never claimed that's mine yet I never said something when she said that story is written by me. I really really trying so hard to explain. Her facial expression now is so judging and so cynical I can throw up a rainbow now.

I know she already lose her trust on me.

She even asked me if another fics also being translated. Not genuine. With her judging yet broken hearted looks. She is my biggest loyal reader and the feeling when you read and like something turned out to be a plagiarism works.

Like I say, feel betrayed.

I'm hopeless.

What can I say, its my fault anywhere. Although I never claimed the story is mine, I also not bothered to credit the real author.

That is why citation is really important.
Learn APA reference properly and say no more to plagiarism - or in my case, translated version XD


So the moral value here, don't trust people so easily! But you can trust me! Blink blink.
